A skills gap analysis compares the requirements of a job with the skills a candidate can show. Sentiero AI does it for one specific job post at a time: it lists your gaps in priority order, marks how important each one is, and turns them into an action plan you can track, so you know what to work on before you apply.
Each analysis ends with 3 to 5 concrete steps, most impactful first, each with a realistic timeframe and a priority. Steps that deal with a blocker come first. When a step closes a specific gap, the two are linked, so you can see which work addresses which requirement.
Steps never promise a number of points: nobody can know in advance how much one step will move the score.
Your history keeps every analysis. When you re-analyze a job, the new analysis already knows which plan steps you finished, and the Progress page shows your score over time and the gaps you have closed.
It is a comparison between the skills a role requires and the skills a candidate can show. In Sentiero AI it is done per job, using the exact job post you paste, instead of a generic list for a job title.
No. If you do not have a skill, the analysis says so and the plan suggests how to build it. The CV improvement only rewrites what you already wrote, so the score does not rise for a skill you do not have.
A gap is technical and can be learned, like Kubernetes or CI/CD pipelines. A blocker is an eligibility issue that studying does not fix, like needing a work visa or a hard minimum of years of experience.
